SSM Stove Museum

The SSM Stove Museum, located in Ganlin town, Shengzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, is an enterprise museum which is established by Zhejiang Huiwenmei Stove Co., Ltd (formerly shengzhou stove manufacture, SSM). The museum has collected more than 300 kinds of stoves since the 1970s, ranging from the traditional fuel-burning stoves to the modern improved cookstoves products models. The collection is constantly growing and transforming as we strive to witness the process of passing down the stove production through generations with these most memorable and iconic historical marks. 

SSM Stove Museum showcases both the historical process of Chinese stove industry and a variety of stoves from across the world, especially those from developing countries, which include over 30 firewood stoves used in many countries around the world. Visitors can experience the difference and change trends of different countries through the displays of these foreign stove products. In other words, these ordinary household stoves from foreign countries provide visitors with an opportunity to get a glimpse of the kaleidoscope of the world, and further enable the visitors to feel how small household products affect global changes. For example, the clean stoves dedicated to carbon projects have brought tangible benefits to many African countries, which are extremely significant in terms of health, economy and environment. 

SSM Stove Museum, with a construction area of 900 square meters and divided into three sections according to the theme, is composed of the Factory History Museum, the Science Popularization Museum, and the Experience Museum. Over 300 sets of stoves treasured in the museum are just like a long corridor of time, each stove can be regarded as a time capsule, taking visitors on a time machine, traveling back to the past and experiencing the history, culture, and cooking traditions. The museum aims to present the industry or sector history in a clear and effective manner, disseminate the latest industry technologies and techniques, and simultaneously showcase the SSM's products and production advantages. From the wood-burning stoves handcrafted by craftsmen in the past to the modern improved stove products manufactured by automated equipment nowadays, every upgrade of technology represents a step forward, each piece of work has its own unique story. The update of production equipment has further greatly improved labor efficiency and product quality. Meanwhile, it has also promoted the progress and technological upgrades in stove production. 

Looking back on history, SSM Stove, with the stove manufacturing having a history of 45 years' development, has bid farewell to the era of traditional manual production. The stove manufacturing has been evolving from mechanization to electrification, from automation to informatization, and is currently stepping into the process of intelligence. Nowadays, SSM has grown into a tech enterprise specializing in the production of wood stoves, carbon stoves, biomass pellets and institutional stove. The current production workshop of SSM has evolved into an automated 5S production line, with an annual output exceeding 2 million units, and customers in 21 different countries in Africa, Southeast Asia and Europe, and we have also forged long-term partnerships with multiple international organizations and institutions. SSM attaches great importance to environmental friendliness and sustainable development in terms of environmental protection. We aim to provide more new types of clean stoves for more carbon emission reduction projects worldwide for the purpose of protecting health and climate. This is also the vision that we have always been pursuing - "Making the world cleaner".
